Meeting Micah
2017-
I created this piece after waking up from a dream that I met my son. It was hearing “ I love you mommy' as I responded “ I love you too Micah” is what led me to this. When painting this continued to think about what I wanted him to become an the impact that he would make on the world. One image I thought of was the Notorious B.I G “ Ready to die” album cover. Even with that body of work it makes me think about our children’s future. When you look at this piece I ask you to think about our children what type of impact they will make. We have no control over the outcomes but the one thing I guarantee is that Micah will be.
