I painted this piece during the devastating hit of Hurricane Dorian while living in South Florida the fall of 2019. I prayed and painted during the storm because at the time that all I knew to do. The Bahamian flag was painted onto his skin as a sign of respect, honor and solidarity with the people of the island.
My passion for art and advocacy led me to this piece.
